ATC Consultant – Airport Collaborative Decision Making (CDM)
Contract: 1-5 years
Location: Brussels
Start: ASAP
We require an ATC Consultant with experience of Airport Operations and CDM. Airport CDM will increase the efficiency of airport operations, allowing the right information to be shared amongst the relevant airport partners (ANSPs, Airline operators/ground handlers and airport operators) at the right time to increase predictability for efficient planning. The Airport Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) Applications Project has been successfully implemented and will be in a number of European airports following the guidelines of the A-CDM Implementation Manual and experimentation at trial airports which will lead to best practices, new ideas and concepts that could be potentially shared for further enhancements of the A-CDM concept.
The scope of A-CDM is:
- Airport CDM Information System &CDM Turn Around Process
- Collaborative Management of Flight Updates & Variable taxi-time Calculation
- Collaborative Off-Block Departure Sequence & Airport Capacity Changes
- Dissemination due to Weather or other disruption
- Integration of A-CDM Collaborative pre-departure Sequence with DMAN
The role:
Will require contact, negotiation and influence in a multicultural environment. The successful candidate must therefore be able to demonstrate
- Diplomacy and political awareness;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Demonstrate excellent report writing skills;
- Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
Requirements:
- Recent Air Traffic Controller Licence for aerodrome control or senior Airport OPS expertise.
- Knowledge of other aspects of airport operations.
- Airport operations and airport systems expertise.
- Knowledge of airport information systems and the functionality of ATC tools such as AMAN DMAN, A-SMGCS.
- Airport Stand/Gate Management, Interface between Airport Operations and ATM, Knowledge of A-CDM Concepts and Eurocontrol activities.
- Experience in training and course delivery.
- Experience in chairing meetings and liaison with representatives of other organisations, such as airport operators and airlines.
- Experience in ATC operational management and/or HQ experience.
- Proficient in standard Microsoft applications.
