Human Factors Consultant/Engineer

We require an additional Human Factors Engineer or Consultant to support the Human Factors team by contributing to further development and refinement of the Human Performance and Safety assessment methods in order to accommodate these challenges and the conduct of the forthcoming real-time simulations and the definition of suitable human performance assessment methods for a human in-
the-loop collaborative simulation environment adapted to cover process validation, on site at our client's offices in Budapest.

The Role:

Definition of suitable human performance assessment methods for a human in-
the-loop collaborative simulation environment adapted to cover process
validation:

  • a literature review of research made in ATM- as well as in non-ATM dynamic and
  • collaborative decision-making settings (e.g. gaming exercises in military command and- control),
  • the selection and assessment of suitable observational and experimental techniques for the design of human-in-the-loop collaborative simulation scenarios and adaptation to process validation,
  • the initial development of methods and metrics for the investigation of collaborative
  • decision-making processes during real-time or quasi real-time simulations.

Supporting the HF team in the conduct of the forthcoming real-time simulations, day-to-day activities in support of the human factors team pertaining to the planning, conduct and subsequent analysis of real-time simulations.

  • Development of the experimental plan
  • Definition of metrics and indicators to be collected
  • Definition of the experimental set up to meet the objectives
  • Conduct of the validation study
  • Managing the data collection and the analyses
  • Writing the experimental report

Skills

The candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • University degree in psychology (Masters or equivalent), or in HF-relevant discipline
  • Proven experience in major approaches and techniques related to the analysis and assessment of human performance and safety in the context of ATC simulations
  • Proven experience in statistical analysis methods
  • Proven experience in producing adequate documentation, reporting and presentation of the results
  • Good command of English language, both spoken and written
  • University degree in psychology, or in HF-relevant discipline
  • Proven experience in major approaches and techniques related to the analysis and assessment of human performance and safety in the context of ATC simulations
  • Proven experience in statistical analysis methods
  • Proven experience in producing adequate documentation, reporting and presentation of the results
  • Good command of English language
