Project Manager / Business Analyst
Contract: 12 – 24 Months
Location: Brussels
Start: October 2008
Rate: Excellent
We require an experienced Business Analyst or Project Manager to work on projects within our client’s internal and external communications department to help implement new applications into the communication domain. The PM will be required to have a technical background in Web Technologies, broad project analysis and management experience. The project manager will also act as an analyst in the area of web communication, working under the supervision of Programme Managers, supported by the Project Support Office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects defined in the annual work programme.
- Receive, validate and support functional requests in various business areas, mainly in Communication and Infrastructure.
- Analyse user requests, define functional and technical specifications and initiate ad-hoc project requests.
- Supervise development activities and manage them in cooperation with the Delivery teams.
- Coordinate and attend meetings with customers to define project goals.
- Coordinate between the external project team (in case of project tasking contract).
- Analyse and integrate the existing and new applications into conceptual design documents, including project definition, scope determination, alternatives, functional specifications, and input/output design.
- Document the policies and procedures regarding the newly implemented services, in agreement with the business users.
- Manage communication between internal clients and development staff, and handle related administrative details.
Requirements:
- University Degree in IT or equivalent
- Professional experience in project management
- Strong experience as a Senior Technical Analyst and/or Project Leader, managing projects following a well-defined methodology.
- Working knowledge of both English and French
- Good knowledge of web technologies their application to internal and external communications.
- SUN software product knowledge is a major advantage (LDAP, webservers, portal).

- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
