The Data Link Platform Implementation (DLPI) Database System is used to enter, maintain, query and report on the transmit and receive implementations for platforms using Link 16 and/or Link 11 fixed format messages. It is capable of holding multiple message standards.
The software design uses RBASE Version 6.0, is fully relational, and requires less than 20 MB with 20 platforms. It is menu driven with full referential integrity, with a Windows 95 interface.
DLPI offers the following functions: entry, editing, browsing and printing of data element dictionary, message definitions, switch fields, platforms, and platform implementations.
All data entry is automated so that no fields can be omitted, and only valid codes applicable to the level of data being entered (e.g. word, field, data item) can be used. Items only need expanding if implemented.
DPLI allows the printing of reports, and consistency checks.
