Job Description

The successful candidate is responsible for leading the programme finance activities for the Q programme. Requirements of the position include: budget development, analysis of contract cost and staffing, Earned Value Management, monthly closing requirements, Monthly Programme Reviews, Long Range Planning, ECP/proposal development, and financial forecasting & management of orders, sales, EBIT, and cash. Responsible for internal and external reporting to include preparation of EACs, MOR charts, and customer required CDRLs.

Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with programme management, customers, contracts personnel, supply chain personnel, and suppliers.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs one or more multiple financial activities within various finance job functions.
  • Compiles and reviews budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration.
  • Performs multiple financial cost analyses functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports that maintain the company’s cost accounting system.
  • Ensures that costs are allocated according to established procedures.
  • Applies principles of accounting to analyse financial information and prepare financial reports.
  • Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.

Typical Minimums

Bachelors degree from an accredited university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.

Essential Skills

Proven financial & analytical skills, ability to multi-task, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, ability to interface with senior management and customers, Earned Value Management experience, ECP/Proposal experience, proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.

Desirable Skills

Experience with UK contracting; Artemis CostView and ProjectView experience; LM IS&GS PPMP Experience; Knowledge of IS&GS Financial system; Certification in Programme Finance and/or Programme Control.
