Description of the business environment:
Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services (IS&GS) is seeking individuals for a programme supplying prime system integration services to a UK intelligence customer. This programme is a multi-year contract with numerous embedded task orders to deliver advanced, high capacity capabilities with a spiral delivery model.
The programme team will be responsible for developing enterprise information technology (IT) solutions and integrating those capabilities into the operational mission baseline to support thousands of users and many critical national programmes. Initially, the programme team will focus on integrating multiple operational demonstrators into a single, enterprise solution.
Going forward, the programme team will develop and deploy new capabilities that incorporate new vendors, advanced technologies, products, and services to satisfy increasing analysis, capacity, and storage requirements. This programme is expected to be the pilot for new and innovative methods for capability delivery and influencing how the Customer plans, manages and delivers new capability to the mission baseline.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Assess mission needs and develop detailed project and delivery plans
- Develop and manage integrated master plan and resource loaded schedule for programme
- Host planning working group and associated meetings to elicit project milestone and task information for programme plan
- Assess project requirements and produce project planning documentation for systems and capabilities
- Perform analyses on plans, schedules, and associated resources
- Collect and analyse earned value data and produce periodic progress reports
- Manage and coordinates programme master schedule and planning reports to Authority
Essential Skills:
- Experience with P3 and MS Project and schedule analysis methods and tools
- Experienced in earned value management methods and tools
- Previous, successful project engineering experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and customer-facing experience
- Due to the nature of the role performed it is necessary for the applicant to be able to be granted a UK
- Security clearance at the Developed Vetting stage
Desirable Skills:
- Leadership experience
- Experience with variety of development programme environments
Job Description:
Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Typical minimum education & experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
