Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services (IS&GS) is seeking individuals for a programme supplying prime system integration services to a UK intelligence customer. This programme is a multi-year contract with numerous embedded task orders to deliver advanced, high capacity capabilities with a spiral delivery model.
The programme team will be responsible for developing enterprise information technology (IT) solutions and integrating those capabilities into the operational mission baseline to support thousands of users and many critical national programmes. Initially, the programme team will focus on integrating multiple operational demonstrators into a single, enterprise solution. Going forward, the programme team will develop and deploy new capabilities that incorporate new vendors, advanced technologies, products, and services to satisfy increasing analysis, capacity, and storage requirements. This programme is expected to be the pilot for new and innovative methods for capability delivery and influencing how the Customer plans, manages and delivers new capability to the mission baseline.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Reviews, analyses and reports on quality discrepancies related to development, process, and systems
- Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for discrepancies
- Liaises with programme stakeholders, manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to monitor quality initiatives and determine responsibilities
- Identifies quality issues / trends and works with appropriate stakeholders to improve quality across the programme
- Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications
Essential Skills:
- Experience with quality control, management for incremental, spiral capability delivery programmes
- Experience with hardware, software, and interface quality assurance processes and procedures
- Familiarity with enterprise level, operational mission quality assurance practices
- Extensive familiarity of IT and inter-networking systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer-facing experience
- UK National capable of securing and maintaining highest level security clearance
Desirable Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in quality management, assurance, and controls for incremental, spiral capability delivery programmes
- Experience implementing and managing quality control initiatives across multiple configuration baselines
- Experience with real-time mission operations
Job Description:
Coordinates and executes quality assurance processes for the programme. Defines, implements, and monitors programme quality control systems, processes and standards. Audits, reviews, analyses and provides recommendations for correcting anomalies related to product, system, solution, and process quality. Leads and coordinates programme quality audit and review. Monitors and audits subcontractor, supplier, and vendor quality control processes and products to ensure compliance with programme standards and minimise defect rates. Ensures appropriate reporting to programme management team related quality control, defects details, corrective action planning, and trend historical data.
Typical minimum education & experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
